Some restaurants in New York City such as Manhattan Restaurant impose a time limit on dining customers.

 

Pro: This policy is a godsend to those who are outside waiting in line for a table. Lingering customers usually pay no attention to other people outside who are famished and have yet to eat a bite. Some Starbucks locations have recently adopted this policy.

 

Con: This policy is an excuse for rudeness. Telling paying customers to leave is just rude, even if you have a time limit imposed on them. Besides, some...
