Rules in Restaurants in New York City That Raise Your Eyebrow - Part 1

There are a lot of restaurant policies that we all have to live with. Restaurants in New York City are no exception. But some of these policies, even though they are widely adopted in the restaurant industry, leave a bad taste in your mouth. Today, let’s take a look at some of these policies and check their pros and cons. What are these eyebrow-raising policies that we sometimes see in  in New York restaurant ? Here are our first three:

1. Cash only. There are restaurants that do not accept credit cards, debit cards and other forms of payment aside from cash.

Pro: Credit card companies charge a fee for payments in a restaurant using their payment cards. So if you are all for supporting a new restaurant cut on the fees they have to shoulder, then cash-only policies are okay.

Con: It is a little inconvenient for customers who do not have the habit of carrying around a lot of cash, or those who do not have enough cash with them. This is especially true if there are...
